The new provisions by the Minister of Education relating to making up for unsatisfactory academic results in September and the constant growth in the number of requests we receive for academic support for students who attend state school as normal throughout the year (revision classes), have prompted us to develop courses, on both a personalised and group basis, across all the subjects and specialisms included in the Education Ministry programmes at secondary school level, in order to allow students to adequately bridge the gaps which have been revealed in their knowledge of the various disciplines.
After our Course Co-ordinator has assessed the individual circumstances of each student, students are matched to tutors with many years' experience in private lessons, after-school activities and making up for unsatisfactory academic results. Our tutors give lessons with a level of commitment, professionalism and enthusiasm, which ensures that every student is adequately prepared to tackle tests, classwork, homework and possible exam re-takes, passing each test or exam with excellent marks.
Each student will be supported, either on an individual or group basis, by one of the tutors on our staff in order to bridge any gaps in their knowledge and ensure they get the most out of the subjects they are studying, in order to place them once more on the same footing as the other students in their class, and at the same time allowing them to acquire and develop a study method which allows them to regain confidence in themselves and their abilities, and hence raise their self-esteem. This service is relevant not only to students at secondary school, but also to children at primary and lower secondary-school level who are in need of academic support or who simply need help in acquiring and developing a study method which is fundamental to any child's academic future.
Details of service: The number of hours of revision lessons will be agreed in the course of the initial meeting with the co-ordinator in conjunction with the tutors for the subjects to be addressed. The cost (divided into packages of 10 hours each) will be determined on the basis of this assessment. The higher the number of hours, the lower the individual hourly rate. There is also the option to spread payments across small monthly instalments so as not to have an excessive impact on the household budget.
Timetable hours and the amount of time to be spent on revision lessons at our school will be agreed with the student's parents, or directly with the student him or herself, on the basis of their requirements in terms of timetabling and academic needs (our school is open all day from 09.00 to 21.00).
