British Institutes – English Language Courses in Cagliari
British Institutes is the largest English language school in Italy.
We have over 200 individual schools and have been working in Italy for more than 25 years. Our customers include major companies, public and private universities, and the most important public sector organizations at both local and national level.
We offer:
- Specialist teaching staff: Highly-professional teachers who are graduate native speakers with internationally-recognised qualifications, have undertaken rigorous training in applying the British Institutes methodology, and are ideally placed to prepare students for our highly-regarded examinations which lead to the award of certificates at the various CEF (Common European Framework) levels.

Experience and Authority:
Our role is to spread knowledge of the English language at every level: from courses for young children and adults to post-graduate courses, right through to training and refresher courses for school teachers from both the public and private sectors. On passing the relevant final exam, our students are awarded a European Certificate of Studies which can be of benefit for employment in both the private and public sectors. We are the only certification board to have our own centres in the most important Italian cities.
We are accredited by the Italian Employment Ministry (ex decree DM no. 166./2001 decree R.L. no.14.305/02).
We are a joint training/certification body accredited by the Ministry for Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) (Decree DM of 31.03.2003 prot. 2953/C/3 in line with Decree DM no. 177/2000).
Strength of Methodology:
We have developed a methodology known as the English Communicative Method (ECM) which is the synthesis of our experience in both teaching and educational research. This is a direct pro-active approach to conversation in the English language, which then leads on to an analysis of the concepts acquired in terms of grammar and syntax.
Multimedia:
In collaboration with Opera Multimedia, a specialist publisher of e-learning content, we have succeeded in fully integrating the worlds of the classroom and multimedia.
Teachers of Quality:
All of our courses are taught by qualified bilingual and native speakers who are rigorously selected and trained in the application of the British Institutes methodology.
